easy, heavenly no-bake peanut butter pie with rich “Oreo” crust
It doesn’t get much easier than this no-bake peanut butter pie! Don’t worry about heating up a hot oven in the summer, all you need for this recipe is a mixer and freezer (and if you’re really adventurous a piping bag)!
Enjoy a chocolatey, Oreo-flavored crust with creamy, rich peanut butter filling. Top with chocolate and peanut butter drizzle and chopped nuts or peanut butter cups!

how to make no-bake peanut butter pie
You’ll love how easy this peanut butter pie is to make! For the crust, mix all of the ingredients together and then pat down in a greased 9-inch pie plate. Make sure you go up the sides with the crust. Stick in the freezer when you’re finished while you make the peanut butter filling.

To make the filling, beat cream cheese until it’s smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth, light and fluffy. Once finished, spoon the filling into the frozen pie crust and place it back in the freezer.
Lastly, make the chocolate ganache once the pie is completely frozen (which takes a couple of hours). The recipe calls for enough ingredients to layer half of the top, plus a chocolate drizzle. If you want to add piping around the crust, simply double the ingredients. Place half of the ganache on the pie in a circle in the center and drizzle back and forth over pie. Place the other half of the ganache in the fridge to cool until it starts to set (about 15 minutes). Once it’s cooled and only slightly jiggly, add it to a mixing bowl and whip until it’s light and fluffy. Add this to your piping bag and pipe along the edges.

what peanut butter should I use for peanut butter pie?
I recommend using an all natural peanut butter with no added sugar. The ingredients listed should simply be peanuts (and maybe an oil). I like to use Justin’s, MaraNatha, Crazy Richards or Whole Foods brand.
adding the “Oreo” crust
Even though there are no actual Oreos in this recipe, the crust calls for extra dark cocoa powder which is what Oreos are made with. I like to use Hershey’s extra dark cocoa powder. In a jam, regular unsweetened cocoa powder will work, it just won’t taste as much like Oreos.

can peanut butter pie be dairy-free?
Yes, in fact, I make it dairy-free for my family. Use almond or coconut milk when it calls for “milk of choice”. For cream cheese, you can use any dairy free option like Kite Hill, Miyokos or VioLife.
how to top off peanut butter pie
Have fun decorating this dessert! Spread the ganache thinly across the entire pie or do a smaller, thicker circle in the middle of the pie. Drizzle chocolate ganache and warmed peanut butter across the top. To make the peanut butter easier to drizzle, warm it in the microwave until it’s thinned out (20-30 seconds).
You can even add chopped peanuts or make some of my peanut butter cups, chop them, and spread on top.
